What is Occidental Vacation ‘Club Rewards’?
Occidental Vacation ‘Club Rewards’ is your new OVC Loyalty Program. It’s our way of thanking you for your business and for being a loyal Member.
Do I have to register in a new system?
As a Member, you are automatically enrolled in the ‘Occidental Vacation Club Rewards’ Program. Just log on to the Members’ area as usual, and click on the ‘‘Club Rewards’’ link.
I am a member but I do not have My-OVC Codes.
Log into My-Ovc.com and click on “Create Online account”. You will need you contract number and an e-mail address.
Can I share the Club Rewards benefits with my Family and Friends?
Yes, you are welcome to share the benefits of the program with Friends and Family.
How does the Club Rewards program work?
Your purchase of OVC products and services will earn you Member Points that can later be redeemed for products and services from OVC, as well as a variety of other providers.
Will I earn Member Points for every purchase I make on the ‘Club Rewards’ website?
Yes, only Airfare purchase is not eligible for Member Point earning. Fees and taxes never earn Member Points and occasional goods and services, as specified by OVC from time to time, may not be eligible.
How do I earn Member Points?
Within Occidental Resorts, All Inclusive Stays in Owners week and Bonus Time, Airport Transfers, Travel Insurance, Occidental booked Tours, and Romantic Dinner purchases will earn points, which may vary according to the offer and/or to your Membership Tier.
Do I get point for payments fees of my contract loan?
Occidental Contract fees (loans) are not eligible to earn Member Points.
When will I be awarded the Member Points I earn?
Earned Member Points will appear in your account within days of completion of travel, occupancy, or payment and receipt of merchandise, net cost, excluding taxes and fees.
Will I receive Member Points for my previous purchases?
Only Members that became founders in 2011 and 2012, will receive points for past purchases (for All inclusive purchases made since January 1, 2011 until December 2012). Going forward, all OVC Members will earn Member Points for the purchases made on the ‘Club Rewards’ website. Points will be in the Founder’s accounts in the following weeks.
Where can I see how many Member Points I have?
Log into your OVC account, click on the ‘Club Rewards’ link and you will see your accumulated Member Points displayed at the top of the page.
Why didn’t I earn Member Points on a flight or purchase?
Airfare purchases do not qualify for Member Points earning.
Why didn’t I earn Member Points on my loan payments?
Loan payments do not qualify for Member Points earning.
Why didn’t I earn Member Points on a purchase?
If you have paid for a purchase entirely with Member Points, (100% of the cost) and your credit card did not incur any charges, you are not eligible to earn Member Points for that purchase.
How do I redeem the Member Points I have?
Log into your OVC account, click on the ‘Club Rewards’ link, click on ‘redeem points’, and choose from the variety of Rewards available.
If I earn Member Points during one transaction, can I use those Member Points to pay that same transaction?
No, the Member points that you earn for a particular transaction will be able for redemption for your next qualifying purchase.
Is there a maximum number of Member Points that I can earn?
There are no restrictions on the number of Member Points earned.
When can I redeem the Member Points I have earned?
You can spend any earned Member Points as soon as you have the amount needed for the desired Reward. Check the site to see the number of Member Points needed for various Rewards. You must be actively enrolled and current in all payments to redeem Member Points.
What is the value of each Member Point?
The value of Member Points will vary according to the provider and the offer.
How much do I have to spend to earn a Member Point?
This will depend on the type of Membership you acquired. Generally speaking, you will earn from half a point to 2 points per dollar spent, though in isolated cases this may be less, or specific Promotions may offer more. In many cases, the higher your Membership Tier, the more Member Points you will be eligible for.
I am a Founder, do I get the same points as every Member?
Founders are privileged Members and will receive the maximum Member Points available.
What kind of products and services can I get?
When you click on the ‘Club Rewards’ link, the page will display an array of different products and services ranging from the Online Travel Agency , virtual Shopping and eGift Cards, to Occidental All Inclusive stays and various Reservations and Membership fees.
Can I see the breakdown of Member Points I have?
Yes, there is an option in the ‘Club Rewards’ Account page to view points earned and redeemed.
Will my Member Points expire?
As long as your account is active, you will have access to your points. Points are set to expire after a 3 year period from the date the service is rendered.
Am I able to transfer my Member Points or convert them to cash?
Member Points are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. They have no cash value or residual cash value.
Do I still earn Member Points when I cancel my booking?
If you cancel your purchase, you will not earn any Member Points. The Member Points earned for the canceled purchase will be deducted from your Account.
What if I redeemed Member Points for a Reward and need to cancel? Will my Member Points be refunded?
Unfortunately, Member Points are not refundable once they are redeemed.
Do I get points for my All Inclusive Certificate?
No. Points can only be earned when a purchase is made.
Do I get points for bringing my friends to the hotels?
Yes! This is actually the best way to achieve the most points, through our Referral Program. Log into your OVC account, click on the ‘Club Rewards’ link and under Current Promotions, choose Referral program.
How many Member Points do I need for my next vacation?
We encourage you to go to the ‘Club Rewards’ page to see what offers we have for you. Offers will change and each offer will state how many Member Points are required to enjoy that offer.
Can I purchase Member Points?
Member Points are not available for purchase. Think of them as a thank you for your business from Occidental Vacation Club.
Do I earn Member Points if my stay (or other product or service purchase) is paid for with Member Points?
Sorry, only purchases with credit cards or cash will earn you Member Points.
Can I return points to my account after I have requested a voucher or if I need to cancel my reservation or service?
No. Vouchers cannot be cancelled.
I want to book a single occupancy all inclusive stay.
Offers are based on double occupancy rate only. You can redeem points for a voucher for one person (based on double occupancy rate) and pay the difference to the single rate.
Can I use points earned in several contracts and add them toward one single redemption?
No. Points from different contracts cannot be added.
Can I use my earned points to pay for a Referral program all inclusive stay
Yes. We encourage you to do so!
