10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY BENEFITS
RATE DISCOUNTS
As a Founders Club member you will have a 10% discount on bookings made for your regular week during the anniversary year. In the case you have already used your week this year the credit will apply for your next owner’s week booking. You just have to request your discount to your customer service agent at time of booking.
Our agents will be contacting all the clients that have already made a booking this year to issue the corresponding credit. If you do not get a call within the next four weeks, call us directly or advise your concierge upon check in.
FREE UPGRADE
On your anniversary year you will receive an automatic category or unit upgrade free of charge depending on your current membership level:
- Gold, Silver or Prestige (former Platinum) members you will be upgraded to First Club.
- First Club members you will be upgraded to Grand Level.
- Grand Level Members will receive a unit upgrade. Grand Level two bedroom or Penthouse will be granted a 50% discount to Royal Hideaway Playacar.
EXTRA OWNERS WEEK
During your anniversary year, the Club will grant you an additional Owners Week, free of maintenance fees. This will allow you to enjoy your vacation for two weeks during the year without having to wait for the 60 days to book bonus time.
We cannot guarantee Club units but will do our best as the privilege is subject to availability, and due to limited inventory, it does not include stays in Aruba. Aruba Founders may use the extra week in any other club property of their choice.
MEMBERSHIP UPGRADE DISCOUNT
If during the course of your anniversary year, you decide to upgrade your membership level, let's say from First Club to Grand Level or from a Studio unit to a one bedroom, you will be able to do so at a 25% discount.
This discount must be issued upon purchase of the upgrade, so it is important that you let know your sales agent of your Founders privilege. Have in mind that if the discount is not applied at time of purchase, the Club will not issue any other sort of credit.
PERMANENT BENEFITS
EXTRA RCI WEEK
As Founders Club member, aside from your regular week, every other year you will be awarded one RCI week free of charge. With the additional week, you will have a better chance to book at RCI properties on dates that can be difficult and time consuming.
Keep in mind that in order to maximize the available weeks, the Club will not issue an automatic RCI week to you, as you need to contact your customer service agent and request it. Once you have done this, we will deposit the week with RCI, and then you will be able to choose among more than 4,500 properties in their offering.
You may also use the additional week together with your owner’s week. This adds even more flexibility to your membership, allowing you to use your owner’s week with the Club (or give it to a friend) and the extra RCI week to exchange.
OVC LOYALTY - POINTS PROGRAM
The Club membership grants you an access to the world of possibility.
We are currently working hard to incorporate a loyalty program that will allow you to earn back some of the dollars you spend anually vacationing with us and use them for enhancing your future vacations, whether you would like to arrange an airport pickup, book an excursion in advance, have a bottle of champaigne waiting for you upon arrival, or maybe order a top notch cigar for your enjoyment. Those are all ingredients of the perfect vacation!
In addition to that, you will also be able to use the funds accumulated towards the payment of your stay, just in case you decide to add a few days and extend your vacation. This will depend on the property where you own, country selected and your current type of membership.
The points will be determined on a scale of US$ dollars. Founders Club members start accumulating points for any and all bookings made starting Jan 01 2011. Redemptions will be available for 2012.
Usage of the Reward Point System will be based on Rules and Regulations of this program as we are currently in the process of working out all the details. If you have already traveled in 2011 any of these privileges may be used in 2012.
TERMS OF SERVICE
Founder's Club status is not transferable, meaning that if a member bought a resale membership he is not eligible to enjoy the benefits from the previous membership owner nor he is able to transfer the number of years of previous contract.RATE DISCOUNTS:
The discount applies only for the use of owners week.It does not apply for use of bonus time or developers week. Exclusively for holidays to be enjoyed by the Principal Member or his direct family (Children or Parents). For use in Occidental Vacation Club affiliated properties, namely: Grand Xcaret; Allegro Playacar; Allegro Cozumel; Grand Cozumel; Nuevo Vallarta; Grand Aruba; Grand Punta Cana; Allegro Puerto Plata; Grand Papagayo; Allegro Papagayo; Royal Hideaway Playacar; Royal Hideaway Ensenachos; Allegro Varadero; The privilege is a one-time discount and may not be transferable, exchanged for cash, or used to pay for any other services other than the all-inclusive package or hotel rate. May not be used in combination with other Occidental Hotels or Occidental Vacation Club promotions.
FREE UPGRADES:
This privilege is to be used for all bookings made during the anniversary year. If by the time this letter comes out you have travelled already you may use it in 2012. Upgrade is subject to availability. If Grand Level or First Club units are not available the Member will receive upgrade into the Grand Level or First Club service facilities during their stay. Grand Level Two Bedroom owners will be upgraded to Royal Hideaway in Regular Hotel units for a maximum of two people. Free Upgrade applies only to use by members or their direct family. May not be transferred.
RCI WEEK:
This privilege will be available every other year. The RCI week may not be transfered or given away as it is intended to be for exclusive member’s use. Please bear in mind that in order to get from RCI the additional inventory we have to deposit our unsold week inventory, there may come a time when we run out of weeks.
